Michael Holden, owner of MPH Photography & Design, is an award-winning photographer and designer based in Neston, Cheshire – with the passion to capture the drama and excitement of motorsport.
Primarily a photography contributor for leading classic car magazine Octane and occasionally part of Jakob Ebrey’s photography team covering national championships such as BTCC and British GT, Michael has extensive knowledge and experience covering numerous events from local club meetings to international events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix – and just about everything in-between! In 2022, Michael started covering the Bernie's V8s & Historic Outlaws, and will be again for the fourth consecutive year.
Back in 2018 Michael was awarded the accolade for the Motorsport UK Young Photographer of the Year, in which his portfolio was praised for “the breadth of his skillset, covering action, atmosphere and portrait shots." He was also Highly Commended for the same award in 2017. In 2020, Michael achieved the bronze award for the 'speed' category in the inaugural World Sports Photography Awards. Michael has also achieved numerous shortlists in various awards, including the World Sports Photography Awards, Historic Motoring Awards and British Photography Awards.
His images have been published in various print and online media outlets, such as MSV, Octane, Autosport, Motorsport News, Top Gear, Autocar, Revolution, BTCC, British GT, TCR, Dailysportscar, Crash.Net, Mini Magazine, Jaguar World and Cheshire Live, to name a few.
